Cemetery Licence renewals expire on August 1st. Georgia cemeteries need to submit their renewal notices prior to August 1st. Everyone should have received their renewal notices in the mail. New Convention dates - Aug 30th - Sept 1

The convention committee announces the rescheduling of the 2020 Convention and Annual Meetings. The new event dates are Aug 30th - Sept 1, at the same venue, with the same schedule. It was a difficult decision, however, with a little more time to recover from the current times everyone is facing, the committee felt rescheduling would benefit all concerned. All the updated documents and forms can be found on the GCA website, either under the event tab or in the calendar section.

Georgia Corporation Licence

Renewal Reminder

Georgia Secretary of State’s annual registration season for calendar year 2020 is from January 1, 2020 to April 1, 2020. Your annual registration must be postmarked by April 1, 2020. If your annual registration and payment are not postmarked by the April 1st deadline, you will be assessed a $25.00 late filing penalty fee and/or your entity may be administratively dissolved or revoked by the Secretary of State. To keep your entity in “Good Standing” with the Office of Secretary of State, we encourage you to file your annual registration online with a credit card at, as soon as possible. The Corporations Division accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and ATM/Debit Cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo for online filings only.

HR Management Alert

Current I-9 Form use is Extended

Earlier this year USCIS published a notice in the Federal Register informing the public of the proposed extension of the I-9 form. Until a new version is released, the current Form I-9 which contains the expiration date of 8/31/2019 should continue to be utilized for employment verification purposes.
