New President Message

Dear GCA Members,

I’m incredibly honored to begin serving as President of the Georgia Cemetery Association.

It’s unbelievable to think that just three years ago, I was living in Los Angeles and working in a career that couldn’t have been further removed from the cemetery industry. To now be entrusted with leading our association is something I never could have imagined when I first started this journey.

Over the past three years, I’ve learned just how special this industry is. So many people have answered my endless questions, shared their experiences, and offered their advice and support. That willingness to help one another is one of the GCA’s greatest strengths, and I’m grateful to be part of it.

This role also has a very special meaning for our family. I’m proud to continue a family tradition of service to the GCA, following in the footsteps of Jack Frost I, Jack Frost II, and Joan Sawyer, who all previously served as President.

I also want to thank Clift Dempsey for his leadership and everything he has contributed to the Association. Clift has done a fantastic job, and I know I have some very big shoes to fill.

As President, my priority will be to listen to our members and ensure the GCA continues to provide real value through education, advocacy, shared knowledge, and stronger relationships across our profession. I want us to honor the history of the Association while also preparing it for the future and supporting the cemetery professionals and businesses that serve Georgia families every day.

I welcome your ideas, feedback, and engagement. This is our association, and its continued success depends on all of us working together and learning from one another.

Finally, we already have something exciting to look forward to. Following the success of the 2026 Tri-State Regional Convention, planning is already underway for our 2027 convention with the SCCFA. Please mark your calendars for June 13–15, 2027, at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs in Franklin, Tennessee. We look forward to building on this year’s success and bringing everyone together again in Franklin.
